HorizonWeb Frequently Asked Questions

        Can I prevent a contract from triggering the 'Non-Contract Items Require Authorisation' Rule?

In some cases we have found people are using the contract entries, CONT, as more of a way to distribute products rather than an actual contract. To make this easier we have added an option to the admin page to allow you to tell the system that CONT entries under a certain priority are not considered to be contracts by you.

To configure this option, log into your admin account and navigate to the admin page. Select the 'Global Options' page and click on the 'System Options' section. Here you will see the following option;

Auth Level Option

By setting this level, you are telling the system that every CONT type entry UNDER this value is not considered to be a contract. When a user set to 'Non-Contract Items Require Authorisation' orders an item off a contract that falls under the set priority, the order will trigger the 'Non-Contract Items Require Authorisation' and will be sent for authorisation.
