What security features are on the user login?
HorizonWeb 4.1 onwards.
HorizonWeb uses cookies to improve the login experience.
First-time users are given three chances to login with their username and password. After three failed attempts, they will be asked to complete a CAPTCHA question too.
Users who have logged in successfully, are given five attempts before they need to complete a CAPTCHA.
Password validation
When changing a password in HorizonWeb, users must:
- use at least one letter;
- use at least one capital letter;
- use at least one number;
- be at least eight characters long.
Users receive feedback as they complete their new password. Symbols are not allowed in new passwords.
Forgotten Password
If a user forgets his or her password:
- Type the email address in the Email / Username box. Typing the username will not work for this feature.
- Click Forgotten Password?
- An email will be sent to the user with a one time link which expires in 24 hours.
- Click the link to create a new password.
