How do I add the Glider feature on to my HorizonWeb site?

A Glider is a slide show for products which slides the promotions from the bottom of the slide show, upwards. A glider displays:

  • The product's short description as a title;
  • The price;
  • The first part of the extended desciption;
  • An image of the product.

The glider alternates between two layouts of the products, one with the image on the left and one with the image on the right.

Below this are two buttons – Prev and Next – used to step through the products. The glider will automatically step through the products, with a three second delay, until one of these buttons is clicked. After clicking Prev or Next, the slideshow will stop. Clcking on the glider will open the product page for the current product.

It is recommended that you use a sales contract as the data source for a glider. To feature pricing for all customers, create a sales contract onto your ‘All Deal’ trader.

Add to the contract the products you want to feature within the glider. The catalogue the items are from, and the items, must both be web visible.

In the header, click the ‘Our Analysis’ tab and note the ‘Int Ref’ (Internal Reference ID).

Once you’ve acquired the ‘Int Ref’ (Internal Reference ID) you need to add the following attribute into the html.

[Glider:<internal reference>]

(Please note, you will have to change the ‘Int Ref’ (Internal Reference ID) to the ID you’ve acquired from the entry you’ve created.)

Finally, clear the cache to apply the changes.

The glider can be used on any of the following pages:

  • Welcome Message
  • Logged In Message
  • Trader Specific Welcome Message
  • Contact Specific Welcome Message
