CTS Toner Supplies - Main Catalogue Import

CTS may email catalogues to you as an attachment, or put them on an ftp site to collect. Each catalogue will contain your prices, so you do not need to load a separate terms file.

Before you import the catalogue file, check that the format of the file is correct.

When opening the file in a spreadsheet, it should be in the following format:

Column Description
A Item code
B Item description
C Full description
D Cost price
E Retail price
F Range
G Group
H Manufacturer
I Brand
J VAT rate
K Pack
L Spicers look-up
M VOW look-up
N Beta look-up

Don't save the file after checking it. If your file is correct, import your file into Horizon.

  1. Click the Utilities > Import Product File menu.

  2. In the Import File list, click CTS Toner Supplies Catalogue Import. If the import file is not in the list, collect a new set of import files first.

  3. In the Trader list, click CTS Toner Supplies.

  4. In the Catalogue list, click CTS Toner Supplies Catalogue.

Note: If you are importing the catalogue for the first time, click the New Catalogue option in the Type group.

  5. In the Look-ups group, for the VOW, Spicers and Beta lists, click the corresponding trader. This is to ensure any new products are linked to their equivalent from other suppliers.

  6. In the File box, click the Browse button, browse to the catalogue file and click Open.

  7. Click Load Product File. Horizon will start importing the file. It will also switch to the Progress tab to display the progression of the import.

  8. When the import has completed, you are notified. Click OK.

  9. Close the Import window.
